Carlsen Design & Construction is a Washington, DC based boutique remodeling and construction firm using the design/build process throughout Washington DC, and Maryland. Our work includes whole and partial home renovations, building renovations, green building upgrades and handyman projects.

Founded in 2001, the firm specializes in a wide variety of construction endeavors from whole and partial building renovations, historic renovations and home remodeling.

With his education and background, Gregory brings a strong commitment to professionalism and customer service that are unusual for the construction industry. Background

Mr. Carlsen began his career working for an investment bank in Hong Kong and then later served in the United States Marine Corps. After military service, he worked as a management consultant in the U.S., the Middle East and Latin America doing mergers and acquisitions, political and economic risk analysis and business development. Gregory graduated with a BA from Rollins College in 1987 and an MBA from the University of South Carolina in 1995.
